Earworm: Worn me down - Rachael Yamagata
Dinner-ed at my grandma's place, towing huge boxes of Chicken Rice and Chap Choy, just to curb hunger pangs of 7 hungry adults. The sight of grandma dearest with a swollen mouth thanks to dentists definitely breaks my heart. Moments like this never fails to make me feel very guilty for living so far from her. Still, i had fun eating too much Calbee Crackers (In all flavours!) and Cornetto Ice Cream. It's time for Cellulose Pills and Slimming Teas!

Jurong Point with Purse on thursday. As usual, we entertained ourselves with the normal antics of being stupid and making too much noise, whilst taking pictures of almost everything. Ending up in Toys R Us never fails to shrink ages and bring out, literally, the child in us. Without a doubt, it's days like this that put the F in the Fun. Plus us being all crazy at the Arcade, again trying our best, squeezing out all brain juices just to get a 9th and 10th placing for the memory game and terrible shooting at a booth.

Just Follow Law is an absolute must-watch! To see Fann Wong being a total unglam and a movie literally expressing on how oh-so-bitchy the government is, this is the only time to laugh your heads off at how Singaporeans can be really stupid in actually wanting to follow the rules. Afterwhich, we can just switch back to being good citizens, singing the National Anthem when needed and covering the government's butt holes when required.

Seeing The Singapore Fyler with my very own eyes was exhilarating. Squealing at the sight of it, slowly going back to the first time when i was placed in a Ferris Wheel. This time, it's far better than what we had and extremely advanced. Those 30 Pax capsules have definitely made me excited.

This week has allowed me to display my hidden Culinary Extraornaire. I actually succeeded in making White Sauce Pasta, Garlic Butter Prawns, Tofu Soup and Prawns Tempura. Now, the only reason to why the usage of Prawns are overly excessive is i found them in excess in the freezer. Although the Tempura batter was a little soft, i'm still in wonder on how my Garlic Butter Prawns turned out near perfect. Anthony Bourdain should be proud of me. After all, i watch No Reservations religiously.

A new TV recommendation after the awesome Snow Queen. I'm Sorry, I Love You would definitely bring out the crying child in you, holding onto endless amounts of tissue boxes. I still don't know how Korean shows always manage to squeeze everything we enjoy watching in just 16 episodes. Than again, we should't be complaining while handsome actors conquer the screen.

Feels great to know that so much of the Singapore Flyer is done! WOW! Thanks for the pix!
Btw, DVDs here costs about S$1 for movies, and less than $5 for the dramas in DVD9 (of about 2-3 per drama). Nice boxed sets costs a bit more, but stilll very cheap though...about $10+ depending on which ones. English ones like Sex & the City, Desperate Housewives, Ally McBeal (in an awesome velvet box), Prison Break are also available! ;)
Glad u liked Snow Queen too! YEAH!!!
jo (who cant get logged-in)
i forgot how much i paid for them, maybe abt S$20+ for both sets
Sorry, i cannot help u to buy & mail the Prison Break 2 becoz they are pirated DVDs. It's illegal. Besides, postage from here is VERY expensive!!! I always spend a bomb on my swap packages postage.
Why dont u try to smuggle them in from JB yourself? I'm sure they will have it there too.
Yes, besides the postage from here could probably cost you TWICE the price of the discs!
It's also the pirated ones in JB, but at least u dont need to pay for the post! ;)
Thanks! No, i've never watched any Taiwanese drama before. Not too keen in them. ;p
